With that in mind, we realized that to tackle a problem as serious as the rise of HIV among young people, we needed to change the way we speak. We dived deep into Gen Z’s behavior and tastes. We investigated where their attention actually goes. One of the strongest answers was music. In Brazil, brazilian funk music. On Spotify, where these tracks are played billions of times, we found the perfect place to alert young people about the risk of HIV: because the platform is where they hear about sex, but never about protection. And they never use the Canvas (that looping video that appears during songs). That’s how Cover It was born.
